Scotland 4 Wales 2.
Ireland 2 Wales 2
England 5 Wales 1.
The results appear flattering to the opposition countries but in reality Wales were far more dominant than the results appear. Wales led in all 3 games and for long periods with good play by all. The coaching and instruction had been absorbed by all and the new look side were strong in defence and attack playing a high pressing game. In the Scotland game Wales were undone in the final 8 minutes by two penalty corners in an otherwise very entertaining game. In the Ireland game Wales were strong throughout and again it was the penalty corner that caught them out. In the England game Wales led until the end of the 2nd quarter and at half time the score was 1 each. Injury and energy paid the price though and the stronger rolling team of England took advantage of this in the final quarter to extend their lead in what had been a fast and furious encounter with England at times showing frustration against a much stronger Wales side. Great hope for the future!
